Uttishtha (Android app) · Last updated: 24 October 2026
Uttishtha shows guidance from the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads. It is built to work without an account and to keep your personal notes on your phone.
What stays on your phone
Your language, the situations you pick, saved verses, your reflections and your reminder times are stored only on your device. We do not receive them. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
What we collect
- Usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics): which screens are opened and which features are used, with a random app-instance ID. No name, email or phone number.
- Crash reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics): device model, Android version and technical details of the crash, so we can fix it.
- Advertising (Google AdMob, free version only): Google may use your device's advertising ID to show and measure ads. You can reset it or opt out of personalised ads in your phone's settings under Google → Ads.
- Purchases (Google Play, RevenueCat): if you buy Uttishtha Plus, Google Play handles payment. We receive only an anonymous purchase record to unlock the features. We never see your card or UPI details.
Data handled by Google is covered by Google's Privacy Policy. RevenueCat's is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
What we don't do
- We don't ask you to create an account.
- We don't read your contacts, photos, messages or location.
- We don't sell your data.
Permissions
- Notifications: for your daily reminder. You can turn it off any time.
- Set wallpaper: only if you turn on the daily lock-screen wallpaper.
- Internet: for ads, analytics and optional content downloads. The core content works offline.
Children
Uttishtha is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
