उत्तिष्ठ Uttishtha

Arise with knowledge from the Gita & Upanishads

Speak truthfully, kindly, and helpfully; this is discipline.

अनुद्वेगकरं वाक्यं सत्यं प्रियहितं च यत् । स्वाध्यायाभ्यसनं चैव वाङ्मयं तप उच्यते ॥

Bhagavad Gita 17.15

Words that do not hurt, that are true, kind and helpful, and the regular practice of study: this is called discipline of speech.

Your words shape your day. Choose them carefully: true, kind, and helpful. This kind of speech becomes a practice, a steadying force within you.

Before you speak, pause and ask: 'Is this kind?'
