उत्तिष्ठ Uttishtha

Arise with knowledge from the Gita & Upanishads

Let feelings flow; find peace in stillness, not pursuit.

आपूर्यमाणमचलप्रतिष्ठं समुद्रमापः प्रविशन्ति यद्वत् । तद्वत्कामा यं प्रविशन्ति सर्वे स शान्तिमाप्नोति न कामकामी ॥

Bhagavad Gita 2.70

As rivers flow into the ocean and it stays full and unmoved, the one into whom desires flow without disturbing them finds peace, not the one who chases desires.

Like a river flowing into the ocean, your desires and feelings come and go. Don’t chase them; simply let them flow through you, and you will find a quiet steadiness. Continue noticing and returning, as you’ve been doing.

As a feeling arises, notice it, then return to your task, like a river.
