A doubting mind finds no happiness; seek a small certainty.
अज्ञश्चाश्रद्दधानश्च संशयात्मा विनश्यति । नायं लोकोऽस्ति न परो न सुखं संशयात्मनः ॥
Bhagavad Gita 4.40
One who is ignorant, without faith and full of doubt is lost. For the doubting mind there is neither this world nor the next, nor happiness.
Doubt clouds everything; it makes this choice, and any other, seem impossible. The verse says that doubt brings neither happiness here nor there. A little certainty, even about a small thing, can clear the way.
